FAQS

We have collated our FAQs below for your information. However, if you still need assistance regarding our scaffolding services then don’t hesitate to get in touch.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

We are based in Plympton but operate across Plymouth and the surrounding areas, including Saltash, Plymstock, Ivybridge, and beyond if needed. No matter your location, give us a call and we will see how we can help.

HOW MUCH IS SCAFFOLDING?

The price of scaffolding will vary depending on several factors, such as the size and area, length of the hire period, and type of erection. Therefore, we offer competitive, bespoke pricing for each individual job. Quotations are free with zero obligations and we always try to match like-for-like prices where possible.

WHAT KIND OF SCAFFOLDING DO I NEED?

A survey will be needed to determine what kind of scaffolding you need. Our surveys are free, along with a no-obligation quotation. So, give us a call to arrange a survey today.

DO YOU PROVIDE LABOUR ONLY HIRE?

Yes. Our team can be on hand to construct a one-off erection, or to work in collaboration with your contractors on ongoing projects. Whether you need just one pair of extra hands or a full team at your disposal, we can help.

WHAT ARE YOUR CREDENTIALS?

We are fully insured with £10 million public liability cover. Our team are highly experienced and qualified, and we have been erecting scaffolding for over 15 years. Our company is also CISRS accredited, and all our staff are CITB checked. Rest assured, we work strictly in conjunction with the latest health and safety regulations at all times. Not to mention, we also have staff with advanced CISRS qualifications, essential for carrying out scaffold inspection and sign-off.

DO I NEED TO GET MY SCAFFOLDING INSPECTED?

Scaffolding must be inspected and signed off and the point of installation, and every 7 days following, to check it remains safe and secure. Following high winds or poor weather, inspections may need to be carried out more frequently for your safety.

DOES SCAFFOLDING REQUIRE A PERMIT?

If scaffolding is likely to overlap over public areas, such as roads or public footpaths, then a permit will be needed. Permit approval may be easier to secure if you are able to operate flexibly, avoiding peak times and working when there are fewer civilians around.

CAN I USE SCAFFOLDING ON LISTED BUILDINGS?

Yes. We can cater for listed buildings, providing various free-standing, self-supported solutions that won’t compromise the integrity of historic or period properties. If you are carrying out exterior renovation on a building of this type, why not give us a call to request a free site survey and quotation.
